July 2020

– Fourth Street roadway extension continues
– Curbs and concrete being poured
– Extension of Fourth Street is underway
– Grading the roadway and preparing for concrete
June 2020

– Transformer pad inspected and approved by DTE
– Structural steel (heavy iron) delivered on site and is being erected
– Light gage CFS steel for the second floor is scheduled for delivery next week
May 2020

– Steel work continues at Fourth & Selden
– Second-floor light gage steel joists and decking are being installed
– Site work concrete for the dumpster enclosure, screen wall and transformer pad are underway
March 2020

– Transformer pad inspected and approved by DTE
– Structural steel (heavy iron) delivered on site and is being erected
– Light gage CFS steel for the 2nd floor is to be delivered the following week
– Podium steel construction has begun
– First steel members in place

+ South masonry shaft build is complete
+ Perimeter blocks being built
+ Site Storm and Sewer, including structures, are complete
+ Site primary power and low-voltage conduits installed, inspected and being backfilled
+ Temporary power installed and connected
+ Underground plumbing being installed
+ Sub-grading of parking lot is underway
Truly Groundbreaking
Midtown West Detroit is officially underway. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Procida CEO Mario Procida, Midtown Detroit Inc. Executive Director Sue Mosey and Donald Rencher, director of the city’s housing and revitalization development, were on hand to celebrate the exciting new neighborhood along with local officials such as Dave Dobbie of Cass Corridor Neighborhood Development Corp.
